Open the AVG software user interface.
Next to the Virus definition button, click Refresh.
It will check for updates and will update the Virus Definition.

Open the AVG software user interface and click the Menu tab.

For automatic Application update, follow below
Open AVG and go to the menu.
Open settings.
Check whether the general tab is selected or not.
Here, click update and go to the application section.
Click on More options and choose the preferred option to update it.

Instructions to reinstall AVG after Windows 10 update
The first step to reinstall the AVG is uninstalling the older version and so follow below procedure;
On the Windows start button, right-click and choose the Apps and Features.
Select the AVG product and click on uninstall.
Click YES on the User Account Control dialog.
Click "Uninstall" and "Yes" for confirmation.
Restart the system and follow the next installation steps.
Now, the second step is AVG download and re-installation of AVG on window 10;
Visit the avg retail webpage.
Enter the key and login with the AVG account.
Download your AVG product.
Open the downloaded folder and right-click on the setup icon, such as avg_internet_security_setup.exe.
